Itinerary
Most of the city’s architectural attractions are inside the medina, the old walled part of the city. Built in the 12th century, the Koutoubia Minaret is the most perfect Islamic religious structure in North Africa. The famous monument dominates the skyline and can be easily spotted from all over Marrakech. 
 
Hidden behind high walls are the Saadian Tombs. The mausoleum displays a very high level of decoration, using traditional stuccowork and Granada-style carvings, typical of classical Moroccan buildings.
